The 34 defense playbook brings the effective 3-4 football scheme ,modified down to the youth football level. Let’s face it, in the 2011 Super Bowl we had a match up of 34 defensive systems as both the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers run this scheme. I’m sure that the 34 defense playbook used both those squads is as thick as a telephone book, however nothing this huge is needed for the youth football level.
The 34 defense playbook, used by this author, has been effective at stopping many of the popular youth offenses like the double wing, single wing, wing t, power I and the “T” formation, just to name a few. One of the major advantages of the 34 defense playbook is the simplicity of the terminology. Nothing is made complicated, and every stunt and blitz is easily taught to children ranging is ages 4-14. I have used the 34 defense playbook with 4 year old flag football players as well as 14 year old travel tackle teams.
Naturally, the system has been modified for each level, but regardless it was always an effective concept rarely allowing even one score per game and never two. The best part is you do not need 11 studs to make this scheme effective. It is your job as a coach to teach the basic responsibilities, all which are explained in the 34 defense playbook, to each player and show the squad how to work as one unit. Eleven strong, and smart, will be one or two super studs every time.
By adapting the information contained in the 34 defense playbook, your squad will have the ability to shut down a variety of different offensive schemes and formations. You can shift extra players to the line, drop them off into the secondary discreetly, or make every formation look like a blitz, meaning the offense has a hard time deciding who to block.
Our 34 defense playbook gives you all the stunts and blitzes you will need to use your entire coaching career. This 34 defense playbook can be used with the little kids in flag and as you progress to tackle, you can continue to use this same book!
